Large Pavilion
The large pavilion is usually reserved for special events including fishing tournaments, family cookouts, school outings, and other large-group activities. Picnic Pavilion
If you’re just here to hang out for the day, a picnic pavilion boasts shaded picnic tables, shuffleboard, bocci, basketball, and sand volleyball courts, as well as horseshoe pits, a soccer field, and playground equipment for the kids. You can also choose to spend some time nearby at the landscaped patio area at the tip of the park overlooking the entrance to Dennis Dreyer Municipal Harbor and Lydia Ann Channel.
Fishing
Cast a line from the jetties that mark the harbor or the bulkhead surrounding the park. Make sure to obtain the proper fishing permit from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.
Tower
Climb the observation tower for a better view. The tower overlooks the ship channel and makes an excellent viewing area for dolphins and other marine life as they “bow-surf” in front of the large cargo ships and tankers using the channel.
Patsy Jones Amphitheater
Come in the months of March-October and enjoy a concert. The amphitheater hosts free public concerts on the 2nd Friday of the month. The amphitheater is located along the Corpus Christi Ship Channel and can also be reserved for your private event. Call 361-749-4158 for details.
