The church no longer holds services, but locals and visitors from near and far can tour the church building and grounds during tours organized by the Port A Museum. The Lydia Ann Lighthouse, also known as the Aransas Pass Light Station, was built in 1857. The lighthouse is not accessible by road, so you’ll have to admire it from afar. Take a cruise past it in your own vessel, take a marine sightseeing tour, or get a good view of it from nearby Roberts Point Park.

Get out and tour the waters of Port A and the Gulf of Mexico like a tourist. Head out in search of dolphins, whales, and other sea life that call the water around Port A home. Cruise the waters of the Lydia Ann Channel and enjoy dolphin watching, sword fighting, treasure hunting, cannon fire, and plenty of pirate fun! Hang 10 on the crashing waves of the Gulf surrounding Port A! Try windsurfing or traditional surfing along the Port A coast. Learn from professional instructors during private lessons that will give you the skills to prepare you to rent your own gear and surf the waves on your own.
Undersea Adventures
Book a snorkeling or SCUBA diving tour where you’ll plunge under the water to see a side of Port A and the Gulf of Mexico you won’t see from inside a tour boat. Ask about age restrictions before booking, and make sure to get SCUBA certified before you attempt a dive without a skilled instructor.
