Cannot select a rating as the field is not functioning. I have to give it a 7. The view and patio was a 10! The decor was a 10! Kitchen has everything but scissors so it gets a 9. Bathroom gets a 10, beautifully remodeled ! The bedroom decor is lovely and I'm so happy it had a comfortable couch as neither my husband or I could sleep in the very high, very HARD bed. I give it a 4

This is our second time staying at the Dunes and we love the north-facing units with beautiful beach views. Mornings with coffee on the patio watching the ships roll in is one of my favorite things…
The unit is fully appointed though it would be nice for the management company to share more details on what's included, like what kind of coffee pot. It helps with packing/shopping in advance.

Our Favorite Place To Be

This is our fifth year coming to Port Aransas and our 3rd year staying at The Dunes. Twice we have stayed in 306 and reserved for next year again. The condo is beautifully furnished with comfortable seating and tasteful decor. We love to cook so we appreciate the quality cookware and utensils available to use. The bedroom is roomy with a very comfortable bed and couch. Love the walk in shower too. The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating when we have questions. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised at the new exercise equipment for those who wanted a little more strength training. The Dunes is a great place to stay and always look forward to our visit.

Great Vacation!

Just had my first trip to the Dunes, and I will definitely be coming back! Everything was wonderful. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, the accommodations were clean and well maintained. Being right on the beach is a huge benefit...not having to pack the car and drive to the beach...just walk out the back door and there it is. I rented a chair and umbrella and it was ready for me to sit out and relax. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Highly recommend!

One of the best beach condos we've stayed in. Kitchen is well equipped, love the pull out sofa in the bedroom, perfect for our family of 3. Big downside though, constant elevator noise, you hear every ding, all the time.

The Dunes unit 306 was perfect for us on our spring break trip! The renovation is lovely, the furniture is very practical, pretty, and comfortable, and there are little details the owners did that made it feel very upgraded such as automatic night lights, power shades, backlit mirror, Roku TVs, etc. We definitely hope to stay here again!

We love staying at the Dunes and we usually stay in a 1 bedroom unit. We like unit 306 for the elevation so we can enjoy watching the ships going by and the overall views. This unit has a desk which we use while here. A couple of things we wish were better are below - The furniture is not very comfortable in the setting area - The bed height is way to tall, but the mattress is firm which we do like - We wish the balcony chairs were a little taller to enable seeing over the safety railing. I’ve stayed at The Dunes before but first time in #306. This condo was decorated so cute and comfy! The living room couch and chairs recline so that was a positive! My BFF and I stayed here for our annual trip and it was perfect for our fun trip! Patio chairs are tall so again a plus because you can see lots. I think the only real complaint for me was the bed. It is VERY FIRM and one night I had to sleep on couch. Other than that it was perfect!

I am so sorry about the wrist bands. We get that complaint a lot. We understand that it is an inconvenience. Unfortunately since we so close to the beach, we do get a crazy amount of people who want to use our pool and hot tub without paying for that privilege. Wrist bands were one of the solutions.

This was our second stay in Unit 306. It is very comfortable and is well appointed. Great beachy themes throughout. A couple of suggestions: (1) include a full-length mirror somewhere in the unit. The bathroom has a great mirror but it is not full-length. (2) put a label on the shade control. The lights are labeled (kitchen, entry, etc.) but the control for the shade is not.

Very nice unit as usual. Clean comfortable. Handicap parking leaves a lot to be desired as not enough of it. Several spaces up close wasted striped off. Across street handicap are not handicap. Standard size stalls no extra room with a bill on one side. Need to be made wider to be actual handicap. Having both knees replaced and a fused back parking was miserable. However other than parking always a great place and will be back again soon.

Unit 306 is perfect for us! Well-furnished and outfitted. Inside entrance next to the elevator. Excellent view of both the ship channel and the beach, and great access to the beach. Love the outdoor shower and faucets for sand removal. One small addition would be helpful - grab bars in the shower for us folks “of a certain age”. We will be back. Happy Summer!

Liked every thing about # 306, except: The TV system was designed to be understood by a NASA engineer, or a 12 year old raised with smart phones. As an 81 year old, with a Flip Phone, we had to get the maintaince department to show us how to turn it on. Then, I kept getting "off channel", and had to get help to get back on channel. Other than that, we would stay in # 306 again. Beautiful decor!

The perfect vacation condo. We’ve been coming to the Dunes since 1995. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, plenty of seating inside and out, beautiful view and very clean. Also, a short walk to the beach and an even shorter walk to the beautiful pool. Staff is great especially Flip and Rashel (sp?). We will be back!!

This was the first time to stay here at The Dunes. Our room was very nice and clean. I like that the furniture was leather and not cloth. The staff here is very friendly and ready to help with anything that is needed. The beach is a very short walk away. I would definitely recommend this place and say it is the place to go to in Port A. We will be coming back in the future.

Loved the unit. The furnishings were very nice. Thought there would be a hair dryer so should let renters know or provide one. Coffee filters provided didn’t fit, but we brought our own.Looking forward to a return visit.

This was a very nice condo. The space was enough for the two of us and possibly for a small family of 3. Great access to the beach and beautiful view. Has all the amenities for being able to cook in house as well which was a great convenience.
We were there for a week and enjoyed the Unit very much. The Unit had been completely renovated recently. The furniture, kitchen appliances, bedroom furniture, everything. Bathroom and kitchen as well. Very nice work, good taste, nice quality. Made us feel at home. The views from the balcony are wonderful. The condo is located right off the elevator, which was very convenient, and convenient to pool and beach, and coming and going. the whole property has completed upgrades, and was going through one while visited, so it's well maintained, not run down. Access to the beach and fishing pier are awesome. Management were very nice and accommodating, not pushing rules on us. the check-out requests were easy as well. Nice condo on the ocean, nice area to visit.

We loved being at the end of the building with such a great view of the beach and gulf and easy access to both through the adjacent stairwell. The unit was clean, the kitchen appliances we used worked. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The table was a little bit of a disaster, but we weren't using it too much. We didn't have time to use any of the resort amenities, though they all seemed great.

Beautiful condo, well appointed, everything was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. It seemed that everything in the condo was brand new. The Dunes is our absolutely favorite of all times places to stay. THE VIEWS!!! The easy access to the beach. The only drawback this time was the work being done on the basement level. It got a bit loud at times, but was contained within normal business hours. We will definitely be back!!!

306 was a beautiful unit and very well supplied. My one comment would be to use some discretion is renting to older folks or orthopedically involved persons. The bed is extremely elevated. While very comfortable it was difficult for me to get in and out of bed. There was a step provided but I did not find it until my last day. the step is small and I would not "trust" myself w/ it getting out of bed during the night. For most the bed would be fine. I totally enjoyed my stay in the Unit.
